How does a personal coaching session work?

Coaching sessions may be conducted in person or over the telephone, with each session lasting a previously established length of time. Between scheduled coaching sessions, you may be asked to complete specific actions that support the achievement of your personally prioritized goals. I may provide additional resources in the form of relevant articles, checklists, assessments or models to support the your thinking and actions. The duration of the coaching relationship varies depending on needs and preferences.   

How do you identify the topics to discuss?

You will fill out a client profile which helps to create a starting point for our conversations.  The profile will include information on your history, strengths and goals you want to accomplish through coaching.   Any situations that are causing you to be frustrated, stuck or that you may want to improve would be ideal topics. 

Some examples:

  • Facing challenges due to an imbalance between work and life 
  • Finding ways to leverage your strengths
  • Experiencing a career challenge or you are looking for a career change
  • You have a new challenge or opportunity 
  • You want to leverage resources, gain confidence or increase knowledge
  • Looking for ways to Increase your results
  • Struggling with a choice to be made

What are the next steps if I am interested?

We will have a personal conversation to assess the current opportunities and challenges, define the scope of the relationship, identify priorities for action and establish specific desired outcomes.   If you decide that you would like to begin coaching with me then we will discuss next steps during that session.
