Creating Experiences to Recharge

Creating Experiences

This year one of my goals was to create experiences with family, friends and even by myself. I wanted to create simple moments, but also to travel to places that I haven’t been to before to create new memories and be inspired.

This past week I spent some time in Arizona with friends. We had cool weather which is definitely not what people generally associate with Arizona but I will take that any day over the really hot weather!

My friend who lives in Arizona for part of the year showed us some of the areas that she had discovered and loved. No matter where we went, there was beauty to be found and something new to see. Being in nature is so relaxing and calming.

The picture above was taken in a park near Goodyear, Arizona as the sun was setting across the water last Saturday night. It was such a fun moment to be there. High school kids were there dressed up in their finest to get their pictures taken before heading to prom. Families were there sitting in their lawn chairs, snacks and drinks to watch the sunset. Others were capturing the moment in photos like me and my friends.

We all need to take the time to recharge our batteries and get away from our day to day experiences. It gives us new perspective, time for reflection and to just be without a full to do list that never seems to end.

What type of experiences would you like to have more of in your life? What will you do this weekend to recharge and focus on what you need more of in your life?
