I wrote a blog about International Women’s Day five years ago that focused on my Mom who inspired me more than she knew.
It was her perseverance to succeed in her career that taught me that I could do it too. She was a huge role model for me and in the time before the internet existed, she helped me see what was possible.
Today is about the celebration of women and helping others to see the great things that they are doing. It is also a day to remind anyone who is already in a position of influence, that they need to reach down to lift up the next generation. It is the responsibility of leaders to keep creating future leaders who can make an impact and drive change. As a parent, it is also important to set the example for your kids just like my Mom did for me. How can you help them succeed too?
Think about the opportunities that you could provide to others through mentoring, coaching, guiding, and even listening. How can you help other women increase their visibility by leveraging your connections, experiences, and ideas? What other ideas do you have that could make an impact on someone else? What are you willing to do to help others succeed?
It only takes one person to make a difference for someone else and it starts with a person who holds out their hand and offers support.
Why not let that person be you? If you need ideas on how to help others and yourself to be more visible, let me know. Set up some time to chat about your specific situation, here is the link: Let’s Chat!
